Jamorawon SK Chairman Passes CPA Board Exam

BULAN, Sorsogon- – Barangay Jamorawon Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman Roger Bon Gloriane, 21, a graduate of the pioneer batch of the accountancy course of the Sorsogon State College (SSC) – Bulan campus has recently passed the October 2007 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) licensure examination according to the results released by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).

   Out of more than 6,000 examinees all over the country only 37 percent passed the CPA Board exam issued by the PRC. Gloriane, one of the six graduates from the SSC-Bulan campus is the very first passer, being a member of the first batch of the accountancy course in this town.

   “He is the first man on the moon,” says Municipal Accountant Rodosendo Razo, one of the part-time instructors of accountancy majors in SSC. “The faculty, staff and the students are very proud of him. He is an inspiration to all SSC family,” Razo added.

   Gloriane will take oath on November 20 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila together with other passers from all over the country.

   In an interview, Gloriane said, starting on November 5, he will work at the UHY Lopez CPA’s at Sta. Ana, Manila.

   “I am very thankful to my parents, the faculty and staff of the SSC, especially to Ma’am Dulce Lacson, Mr. Rodosendo Razo, Mr. Henry Joseph Herrera and Atty. Jose Gojar for their valuable lessons. Of course, I am also very thankful to my classmates and friends for their help and prayers,” Gloriane said.

   A product of public schools, Gloriane is a graduate of barangay Jamorawon Elementary School, San Francisco Barangay High School and the Sorsogon State College- Bulan campus.

   Now at the end of his term as an SK Chairman, Gloriane is the son of Mr. Jesus Gloriane, a farmer and Mrs. Rosita Bon Gloriane of barangay Jamorawon, this town. He is the youngest of the nine siblings.
