In reference to Jun Asuncion´s comment, I just hope and pray that this is the beginning of the people of Bulan´s awareness and consciousness on the sanctity of their votes. That selling one´s vote is tantamount to selling one´s brighter future. Because only corrupt politicians do spend MILLIONS of pesos to buy votes. And the end result and adverse impact on the electorates who perenially sold their votes in every electoral process is NOTHING BUT BLEAK FUTURE AND UNCERTAINTIES. God bless to the newly elected officials of CRUSADA of Sorsogon City.

I hope that the people of Bulan will start realizing that the main cause of their problems is corruption. If you sell your vote you are corrupt and if you buy vote you are corrupt. Corruption is usually equated with public officials. The truth is corruption happens in the whole society. You can only have a corrupt government if the people agree with it- knowingly or unknowingly. When public officials confuse public property with private property, then the whole story is complete. The whole town becomes a self-service shop for their own private needs. I don't know if the Decastros are aware of the 7th ( or 8th, depending on which church) commandment which states "Thou shalt not steal." You are actually violating this commandment if you treat the whole town as your private property.
